A visual identity experiment where abstract curves become a recognizable mark through the act of viewing.
This project is a logo design for Shaoxing Jinghu Wetland Park. It began with an attempt to express the movement of water through hand-drawn abstract curves, but that approach felt too dependent on personal drawing habits.
The project then shifted from drawing water directly to exploring how a mark can be generated through visual perception. A group of curves may appear abstract or meaningless from one viewpoint, but when seen from a specific position, it begins to form a recognizable identity.
The final logo keeps this tension between abstraction and recognition. Its blue-and-white curves suggest water, flow, and reflection, while also carrying the idea that meaning is produced through the viewer’s act of looking. The mark can work as a logo, a pattern, or a flexible visual element for park-related applications.
