Fushi Creek Project was a two-month rural residency project I worked on during the summer of my third undergraduate year.
The project took place in Fushi Village, a mountain village where a tourism development team was building a seasonal summer activity around the creek upstream of the local dam.
The program included creek walking, cooling off in the water, small surfing activities, and other outdoor experiences designed for hot summer days.
My role focused on the visual communication around the activity. I designed on-site signs and notice boards for visitors, as well as online promotional materials used to introduce and advertise the project.
Because I stayed in the village throughout the process, the design work was closely connected to the site itself: the water, the paths, the temporary activity areas, and the way visitors moved through the village.
